Otto Shows Off

At the local Porsche Club Concours

The Cinco de Mayo Concours d'Elegance is an annual tradition of the Porsche Club of America - Southern Arizona Region...Cinco and SAR for short.  It is a pretty active club; monthly meetings, tours, track days...and Cinco is the premier event.

I rejoined when we bought Otto; was a member back in the day when I had my Boxster S.  Even VP for a year, until work (remember work? I don't want to) got in the way.

It seemed especially fitting to display Otto this year because the Concours returned to the lawn of Tucson Country Club, the same location I last showed my Boxster S.

Otto takes his place on the lawn.

As you might expect, there are "rules" because Porsche + German.  ðŸ˜‚. Many different classes, several are judged by serious men in white coats with clipboards.

A question for the judges:  how many points lost for no visible pants?

Otto is in the "Display" class which is short for "park over there, get a coffee and wander aimlessly because we really don't care about you."  Totally intentional; I've got my own standards.  ðŸ˜Ž

Some interesting entries.

Teamwork

This is serious stuff...take a guess at what he's doing:

Lint removal from the fabric top.  Comparing techniques:  the great masking tape v. lint roller debate.  ðŸ˜‚

The Tucson Country Club a a pretty facility.

Back in 2009

Pleasent way to spend a morning.

Oh, and the best thing?  In the "swag bag" is a sticker perfect for our garage door.  ðŸ˜‚
